Get The Care You Want FROM THE PROVIDERS YOU'LL LOVE

Pregnancy

Bringing a new baby into the world is an exciting responsibility that begins at the moment of conception. Prenatal care is important to ensure the health of you and your child during the course of your pregnancy. North Park OBGYN provides obstetrics services in Hixson and the surrounding area. Our obstetrician and midwife can provide care from the moment you find out you're pregnant through the postpartum period. We will weigh you and check your blood pressure during each visit as well as provide recommendations for prenatal vitamins and nutrition requirements. You may also receive blood tests to ensure your blood sugars are in safe ranges during each trimester. As your pregnancy progresses, you will receive ultrasounds to check on your child's health, determine sex if desired and receive pictures. About six weeks after delivery, postnatal care includes talking about physical and emotional symptoms. We help you find ways to relieve stress and ease the transition of having a newborn in the home. Our entire staff provides excellent service and is always patient and compassionate during such an emotional time.

3-D/4-D Ultrasound

During your pregnancy, you will undoubtedly receive an ultrasound. If you would like clearer pictures of your little one, consider a 3-D/4-D ultrasound. Available between 28 and 31 weeks, this imaging provides a rendering of your child that better displays progress and features, giving you an idea of who he or she will look like when born. The 3-D image is a typical still photo, but of course, you'd love to see your baby moving. This is what a 4-D ultrasound accomplishes. The video is recorded on a DVD so you can view it at home to show older siblings, family members or friends.
